Mixed Berries Smoothie- Refreshing,
nutritious and delicious smoothie perfect to energize mornings!
I
love all kind of berries but I found that blueberries, raspberries and strawberries
make a great flavor combo. All these three berries are great sources of fiber
which is very important for healthy digestive system. I am totally in love with
this smoothie. It’s so easy to whip up in the morning or whenever you are hungry
and want to make something which is very quick to prepare. Smoothie bowl or a
glass of smoothie would be a very fantastic breakfast option to serve to your
loved ones.😊
I
like my smoothie bowl to be really filling. So I chose fresh strawberries,
blueberries, and raspberries, banana, milk, thick plain yogurt and some plain
oats. Oats makes smoothie really filling and creamy. Banana gives natural sweetness
to the smoothie but if you have a sweet tooth you can sweeten it more by adding
a drizzle of honey. You can use frozen berries as well. This smoothie is really satisfying and filling. You can
load your smoothie with chia seeds and nuts as well.
I
thought this recipe would be definitely worthy sharing with all of you who are
trying to be on a healthy diet. Hope you will enjoy the recipe!
Health Benefits-
When
it comes to health, berries have a very good reputation. Eating just a cup of
mixed berries daily for eight weeks can increase the levels of “good” HDL
cholesterol and lower “bad” LDL cholesterol. Berries are a rich source of
vitamin C, manganese and dietary fiber. According to some certain studies-
Blueberries are packed with antioxidants, called anthocyanins that may help keep memory
sharp.
Raspberries contain ellagic acid, a compound with anti-cancer properties.
And
Strawberries🍓 consumption may have beneficial effects in humans such as lowering
blood LDL cholesterol levels, total cholesterol, reducing the oxidation of LDL
cholesterol, and decreasing the spike in blood sugar after high sugar meals and
the spike in blood cholesterol seen after high-fat meals.
